Volunteer Program
Volunteers have been an integral part of our community at Koningsteen since its founding in 1996.
We provide both non-residential volunteer opportunities as well as residential opportunities as part of our international cultural work exchange program.
Our volunteering program provides an invaluable contribution to the function of the center; an opportunity for like-minded people to share, consciously connect, learn and contribute within a caring, protected and trusted environment.
Feedback
“Koningsteen is a magical place. Not only everything promised is fulfilled (accommodation, facilities, working hours etc) but much more than that. It is a full-time class of generosity, respect, and love, making it such an enriching experience if you are open to it. The whole team is super welcoming and kind, always willing to teach and to help. Dieter and Monique are the loveliest and they prove every day how much they value and honor the volunteers' work. The world would be such a better place with more people like them. Dank u wel familie Koningsteen!” ~ Maria Luísa Brazil
“Dieter and Monique were always very kind and they made me feel at home and a part of a family, the work is easy and enjoyable and they are always around ready to lend a helping hand. The time is always respected, the food is always great and the accommodation was private so you also have your own space. The towns nearby are very pretty and you can go by bike, or take a train to pretty much any city in the country. Dieter was also a very good and fun host, always going the extra mile. Really recommended!” ~ Ramón Mexico
I spent more than two months at the Koningsteen and I can say that my experience was awesome. The place is simply wonderful, the people are kind and generous and the work isn't difficult. The accommodation is very comfortable and the food is delicious (oh God!). Dieter is a great host and he is always ready to help us, he is really very kind. Actually, the whole Koningsteen team is amazing! I also met wonderful people and made sincere friendships. So I'm very grateful! ~ Ila, Brazil
