Koningsteen is an inspiring place to connect, learn, discover and renew in the heart of Europe. Walking through our beautiful garden will bring a sense of joy, calmness and reflection to your life. Surrounded by old trees, flowers it is a place of quiet contemplation. The garden also contains resting benches, fountains and little ponds. You will also discover a number of fruit trees in the garden.

The original Koningsteen (King’s Stone) dates back to the 13th century. After the wars the castle remained unattended for a quite some time. It became a meeting place for lovers who carved their names in the bark of the trees. Some of them are still visible today.

Our courtyard features a calming fountain at the center of a beautiful laid out six-pointed star or or hexagram; a geometric shape historically used in religious and cultural contexts throughout times. Even though it is most commonly recognized as the Star of David, six-pointed stars have also been found in cosmological diagrams, representing two triangles - one pointed up and the other down - locked in harmonious embrace, symbolizing man's position between earth and sky.

Our outdoor terrace provides a beautiful view of the garden. Enjoy an outdoor lunch, a conversation over a good cup of coffee (or tea) with friends or colleagues, or just take some time to soak up the sun or enjoy reading a good book.

Our restored greenhouse has been converted in a cozy outdoor patio. Surrounded by flowers, herbs and vines, the greenhouse is the perfect setting for a conversation, a luncheon or a break-out session during your training program or workshop.
